Olkeri Camp

Olkeri is the Maasai epithet for the Leopard, the spotted ambush hunter, one of the most emblematic inhabitants of the area. Home to great Elephant herds, this beautiful tract of wilderness, replete with views of woodlands, rocky hills, and shaded by gnarled old-growth Baobab and Acacia, offers the ultimate freedom to explore day and night.

Olkeri Camp has eight tented suites, comprising six double/twin tented chalets and two interconnecting Olkeri Camp is in the Randilen Wildlife management area and can be reached by road or light aircraft. It is a 30-minute drive from Randilen airstrip and a one-and-a-half-hour drive from Kuro airstrip. The camp is open throughout the year and activities include game drives, walking safaris, fly camping, cultural tours, night game drives and hot-air balloon safaris.

Olkeri camp offers eight tents designed to merge with the environment, all under canvas, with intimate views of winding rocky ravines and gnarled old-growth trees that dominate them.
The surroundings may be wild, but you will find stylish comfort in each of the eight tented suites. An expansive verandah, a king-size bed, a writing desk, hand-woven carpets and mats over teak floors, a comfortable sitting corner, and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and flushing toilet. Two of our tents are connected by a short, well-lit boardwalk, welcoming families of up to five. A hanging suspension bridge leads to tent two, located on the other side of a small ravine, with views of the waterhole.
