Days 1-3 Livingstone | Waterberry Lodge

Welcome to Zambia! It’s the start of your tour of a lifetime. Today you will land at Livingstone International Airport, where you will be collected by one of the team from Waterberry Lodge, ready to transfer you to your home for the next 2 nights.

One of very few small, independent lodges actually on the Zambezi riverbank near Victoria Falls. Waterberry is perfectly placed for guests to enjoy total peace and quiet, away from the noise and bustle of activities around town, while being close to the Falls and all the adventures that Livingstone has to offer.

Days 3-6 Lower Zambezi National Park | Baines River Camp

Today you will be transferred back to Livingstone airport for your flight to the Lower Zambezi. You will enjoy spectacular views over the Zambezi River as you touch down in this natural wilderness, your home for the next 3 nights. Baines’ River Camp is situated on the Zambian banks of the Zambezi River in the unfenced wilderness of the Lower Zambezi Valley. Located within the Chiawa Game Management Area adjacent to the Lower Zambezi National Park, with traversing rights of over 5,500 square kilometers, the camp boasts magnificent views across the broad expanse of the Zambezi River to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Mana Pools in neighboring Zimbabwe.

Days 6-9  South Luangwa National Park | Flatdogs Camp

This morning you will be transferred back to Royal Airstrip for your flight to Mfuwe, South Luangwa National Park where you will spend the next 3 nights of your tour.

Flatdogs Camp is on the border of the South Luangwa National Park, one of the last great wildlife wonders of the world. It is nine thousand square kilometers (3,475 square miles) of pristine wilderness and Flatdogs offers the perfect gateway. The South Luangwa NP has been visited by wildlife enthusiasts from all over the world since its creation in 1972 and is nicknamed the Valley of Leopards.

Days 9-10  Lilongwe | Kumbali Country Lodge

Today you will be met by your Crafted Africa guide to take you across the border into Malawi for your stopover night in Lilongwe at Kumbali Country Lodge. 

Situated on a 650-hectare forested reserve and dairy farm in Lilongwe, Kumbali Country Lodge offers travelers an idyllic stay in Malawi’s capital city. Just 10 minutes from central Lilongwe, you will find yourself gazing at a beautiful forested area rather than the buildings of a bustling capital city. Take a dip in their sparkling pool, roam the idyllic gardens, cycle the grounds and see what birds you can find, take a tour through the banana plantations or their homegrown coffee factory.

Days 10-13  Liwonde National Park | Mvuu Lodge

After breakfast, your trusted guide will transfer you down south to Liwonde National Park where you will enjoy the next 3 nights in the Malawian wilderness.
Mvuu Lodge nestles discreetly on the banks of a lagoon just off the Shire River on the western boundary of the wildlife-rich Liwonde National Park. The main lounge building is set high above the water for long views up-river. Accommodation comprises eight luxurious tents for a maximum of 16 guests, each with en-suite bathroom facilities and a private viewing platform looking out on the lagoon. Lodge facilities include a dining room, pub, lounge area, wildlife library, and swimming pool.

Days 13-15 Mumbo Island | Mumbo Island Lodge

You will wind up your adventure in the Warm Heart of Africa, at Lake Malawi. After your morning game-viewing activity you will be transferred across the Shire River by boat to meet your to Cape Maclear on the southern shores of Lake Malawi to connect with your boat transfer to Mumbo Island Lodge. You will stay here for the next two nights of your tour. 

Mumbo Island Lodge is nestled on Mumbo Island, an unspoiled paradise under the protection of Lake Malawi National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Wake up to the sounds of nature, and Lake Malawi, with birds chirping. The lodge has a range of activity options to suit individuals, couples, families and friends. Take a gentle walk around the island – don’t forget your binos! Kayak round the island, snorkel, scuba, take a dip in the crystal clear waters of the lake or just sit on your private veranda to relax.

Days 15-17 Ilha de Mozambique | Villa Sands

It’s time to wave goodbye to Malawi as today you will make your way across the border into Mozambique. You will be transferred from Mumbo Island to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight to Nampula and onward transfer to Ilha de Mozambique where you will spend the next 2 nights. Villa Sands is a beautiful boutique hotel located on the western beach of Mozambique Island. Enjoy freshly caught langoustine lobsters, prawns, and fish prepared in a variety of ways. If you’re not hungry, why not enjoy a drink at the sunset terrace bar in front of the ocean.

Days 17-19 Ilha de Mozambique | Coral Lodge

Today, you will enjoy a leisurely morning doing whatever you feel like as you have just a short transfer to your next destination, just across the lagoon, Coral Lodge. You will spend the next 2 nights of your holiday here. Ten luxurious villas, set on a breathtaking peninsula, with pristine beaches and a winding lagoon, bring the Coral Lodge experience to life. An experience which is as intimate and exclusive, as it is authentic. Embrace Mozambique’s colorful history and culture of Ilha De Mozambique, Mozambique’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Days 19-22  Nuarro | Nuarro Lodge

Today you will be transferred up north to Nuarro province to stay at the beautiful Nuarro Lodge for the last 3 nights of your trip. Nuarro Lodge is located on the Baixo do Phinda peninsula in the Memba district of Nampula province, in northern Mozambique. The peninsula is virtually unknown to the outside world. Backed by the wild Mozambican bush, fringed with old and established baobab trees to the back; and fronted by the calm and aquamarine bay of Nanatha, the lodge is peppered along a more than 2km-long, powdery-white beach in the middle.

Day 22  End of itinerary

All good things must come to an end and today you will be transferred back to Nampula Airport for your flight back home.
