The Junk has six cabins, most of our customers these days book private double or twin share cabins, as a result on most Similan liveaboard cruises we only have 12 customers total on our 33 meter ship.

Double/Twin Cabin

The Junk has these two cabins with a double bed that can convert to twins. The cabins are air conditioned and offer their own en-suite facilities.

Triple Cabin

There are two triple cabins accommodating up to 3 divers on board the Junk. These cabins are air conditioned and offer their own en-suite facilities.

Quad Cabin

There are two quad cabins onboard The Junk that can sleep up to four divers in bunks. These cabins are air conditioned and offer their own en-suite facilities.

The Similan Islands in Thailand are thought to have inherited their name from the Malay word 'sembilan' meaning 'nine' as the main part of the Similans Archipelago consists of a group of nine granite boulder islands. However, with the inclusion of Koh Bon and Koh Tachai as part of the Similans Marine National Park, there are 11 islands in total. Above the water topography is stunning; lush vegetation tops the islands giving way to granite boulders or white sandy beaches, surrounded by crystal clear water. But it is what lies beneath the water that allows the Similans and Surin Islands to lay claim to being one of Thailand and Asia's top scuba diving liveaboard destinations.

These 4 or 6 night Thailand liveaboard adventures combine the Similans Islands with Kon Bon and Koh Tachai and reaches northwards as far as Richelieu Rock and the Surin Islands.

Diving in Thailand is probably on the must-do agenda for every diver. With interesting topography created by the rocky boulders, alongside excellent marine life, it is easy to see why.

The Similan Islands and Surin Islands National Marine Parks are best reached by liveaboard dive boat and this 6 night safari covers both allowing up to 19 dives, including up to 4 sunset / night dives at some of the best dive sites in the Andaman Sea. Sharks, marbled whip rays, turtles, harlequin shrimp and wondrous soft corals all await the eager diver.

On a typical day we offer up to 4 day dives although, where possible, the 4th dive may be scheduled as a night dive when the boat is anchored within a lagoon. The diving day is usually scheduled as follows:

Light Breakfast followed by a briefing and Dive 1

Full Breakfast, relaxation period, briefing and Dive 2

Lunch, relaxation period, briefing and Dive 3

Snack relaxation period, briefing and Dive 4, where possible
