Atlantis Azores
Atlantis Azores is a 107-foot custom-built liveaboard completely refitted to ensure the best in comfort and ease of diving. There are eight staterooms, seven deluxe staterooms on the lower deck and one Owner’s Suite on the top deck. All staterooms have a lower double and upper single berths, private bathrooms and hairdryers. The partially covered sun deck is furnished with chase lounges, wet bar, hot tub and a plenty of seating. Spacious dive deck offers a roomy camera table with charging station and freshwater showers. Atlantis is known for its excellent cuisine and the liveaboard is no exception. In addition to tantalizing meals, enjoy free soft drinks, juice, beer and rum.
January and February each year find Azores operating out of Atlantis Puerto Galera for the Anilao, Apo Reef and Coron itinerary. The charter will start with Anilao, this macro paradise is home to over 300 species of nudibranch. Then on to Apo Reef for some of the best reef diving in Asia. The wreck of Coron Bay are next for 3 exciting days of diving on the historical Japanese fleet which was sunk by the American Navy during the World War II.
Late March through June we are diving the famous Tubbataha Reef area. Tubbataha Reefs Natural Parks is home to no less than 573 species of fish, 373 species of corals, 11 species of sharks, 12 species of dolphins and whales, nestling hawksbill and green sea turtle. Tubbataha Reef is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and only accessible by live-aboard three months out of the year.
July through December we operate out of the Atlantis Dumaguete resort for our very popular Bohol itinerary. Enjoy six fabulous days diving from the Atlantis Azores around one of the most beautiful and bio-diverse regions in Asia. We even offer 10 and 12 night charters to Malapascua for Thresher Sharks and mantas by special request.
In addition to the itineraries above, Atlantis Azores also offers repositioning cruises that combine two areas. Full range of PADI courses and Nitrox is available.
Boat Layout & Cabins
Atlantis Azores diving boat has a total of 8 ‘State Rooms’. All located below decks. Each cabin has double and single style bunk berths. Also, each cabin has it’s own private ensuite head, shower, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. One of the eight available ‘State Rooms’ is the owner’s. If available, this cabin is larger, has a desk and additional storage space.

Join Dr. Gonzalo Araujo onboard Atlantis Azores in Dec 2022 for a unique diving experience around the Central Visayas and Southern Leyte, where we will visit Monad Shoal and experience first-hand the uniqueness of the pelagic thresher sharks. A portion of the proceeds of this trip will be donated to Mareco, the charity he started to facilitate marine conservation interventions through collaborative work.
All three thresher shark species are listed in the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species Appendix II, and the pelagic thresher is listed as Endangered in the IUCN Red List. All species are protected in the Philippines and thresher shark tourism in Malapascua has brought significant economic success to the island and neighboring towns. It is a booming dive destination, with divers visiting from all over the world. As divers, we can play our part in supporting responsible tourism operations and destinations, like that of Monad Shoal.
