Screens for Schools

Beqa Lagoon Resort is proud to have a lasting, strong bond with the communities of both Rakua and Raviravi villages located on either side of the resort. Our guests visit these villages during their stay with us to learn more about the history, culture and the way of life in Fiji and specifically on Beqa Island. Many of our guests form lasting bonds with the villagers and staff they meet. One of our most popular visits is to the local schools, to the meet the children and join in their excitement as they teach traditional songs and dance in Fijian.

Visitors usually like to bring the kids a small assortment of school supplies; books, pencils, notepads and crayons. Now we are offering everyone the opportunity to provide the children of Beqa Island with a learning tool that will help them to be competitive in this quick developing world. We are requesting donations of any old and/or unwanted computer equipment for the local schools on the island. This will enable the children to develop computer literacy skills that will help them as they move forward through their education and career path. If you have an older phone, or a flat screen TV you would like to donate, we can find a new happy owner for those too!
