Buceo Anilao Beach & Dive Resort

Nestled in the heart of Anilao, Buceo Anilao Beach and Dive Resort is an ideal spot to discover Batangas. If you are a macro fanatic, this is your place to be. The resort is very close to most of the best dive sites in Anilao. The fantastic house reef, known as the Secret Garden, is a gentle sandy slope and home to variety of sea slugs, crabs, pipefish, frogfish and all sorts of juveniles. Anyone with an interest in marine biology will be falling over themselves to do more than one dive here with its seemingly endless critters. It’s not uncommon to do 2 night dives, with dinner in between.

The resort is built on the side of the hill with stairs leading up to the highest rooms. The climb is worth it though as these rooms have the best views of the bay. On the way up (or down) stop by either of the two pools and have a drink while watching the sunset. There are 10 spacious sea/sunset view deluxe rooms with two double beds and a wide range of amenities such as air conditioning, desk, balcony/terrace, fan, and in room safes. Plus, there are 2 standard rooms with queen beds for more budget minded travelers offering the same amenities as the deluxe rooms without the balconies. The hotel offers wonderful recreational facilities such as boating, snorkeling, outdoor pool, massage, and of course, diving. The diving here is all about photography, macro and muck diving. The resort is ideally located on the peninsula and protected by Maricaban Island. Beautiful dives are performed on the reef and muck, where you will find the weirdest organisms lurking around 50 incredibly close dive sites. The dive shop is a few meters from the beach and is well equipped with all new gear as well as one of the best camera rooms around.

The resort restaurant serves endless, tea, coffee and water in between dives and main meals typically buffet style wish a range of International and local cuisines. The chef is very accommodating for those with special requests. The hotel is close to the city center and about 1-1/2 hours from the airport.
