Dive into Lembeh @ Hairball Resort

Dive Into Lembeh (Hairball Resort) is tucked away in Kasawari Bay, located on the main land of the famous Lembeh Strait, just off the north east coast of Sulawesi. This region is renowned for its incredible muck diving. This seaside resort has nine spacious stand-alone bungalows with unspoiled views of Lembeh Island. Each has satellite TV, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, minibar, safe and semi-open ensuite bathroom with hot & cold water. Drinking water is provided in all the bungalows as well as tea and coffee making facilities. At the end of a busy day of diving, submerge yourself in your very own Japanese Onsen (hot tub) on your verandah. Each balcony has comfortable bean bag chairs to relax and admire the view. All materials and labor for the construction of the bungalows was sourced locally.

All meals are served in the open-air restaurant and bar. There’s a great selection of local and international dishes freshly cooked daily by experienced chefs. For the evenings, a fire pit area with stunning sea views of the Lembeh Strait always await guests to share their dive-of-the day experiences or just to hang out with some cold drinks.

Diving in the Lembeh Strait means muck diving with a trained guide to introduce you to the weird and rare critters such as Frog Fish, Hairy Frog Fish, Mimic Octopus, Blue Ringed Octopus, Banded Sea Snake, Mandarin Fish, Orangutan Crabs, Mantis Shrimps and many other that are hiding in the black volcanic sand, among patches of rubble and coral. Dive Into Lembeh’s fully equipped dive center has a spacious camera room with charging stations and dedicated camera rinse tanks. Dive gear locker with rinse tanks and showers are conveniently available. Well trained dive guides will assist camera handling hassle-free. With a choice of more than 60 dive spots nearby, the twin engine fiberglass dive boats swiftly bring divers to the scheduled 3 day dives around Lembeh Strait. After every dive, the boats return to the resort, providing the luxury to enjoy surface interval by the swimming pool or make any camera adjustments for next dive. A night dive by boat is available daily, providing the reservation of a minimum of two people. Free access to the two world famous house reef dive sites (“Hairball” and “Aw Shucks”) is offered all day.

Manado airport (MDC), the international gateway to North Sulawesi is approximately a 90 minute drive to the resort at Dive into Lembeh. MDC airport is reachable by direct flight from Singapore, Jakarta, Bali, Makassar and Sorong (the gateway to Raja Ampat).
