Kings Lodge

The Kings Lodge is an ecolodge nestled in a large natural forested estate of 14 hectares in Rancha village. The Lodge enjoys unparalleled woodlands and wilderness amongst well-appointed surroundings. The Kings Lodge is in the heart of wild country and 95% of the land is forest. Guests benefit from the incredible location, outstanding hospitality, in- house naturalist team and Kings Lodge commitment to conservation and local communities.

Pugdundee Safaris was born out of our immense passion and love for the Indian Jungles. Pug-dundee Safaris is run by a passionate team of wild life enthusiasts, hospitality professionals and a team of over 300 people committed in providing an immersive and unparalleled wildlife experience. The Pugdundee family consists of naturalists, nature guides, mahouts, boat men and trackers across all our locations and a specialised marketing team based in Delhi that offers the most comprehensive bespoke experiences and safari moments across.

Pugdundee Safaris immensely committed towards the conservation and sustainability of the forests and people in and around the lodges. Lodges are located in idyllic locations, away from the madding crowd and regular tourism hubs. The perfect oasis for eco-tourism, unspoilt and amongst nature with lush and dense foliage and trees. The lodges are the perfect sanctuary that offers privacy, solitude and wilderness.

Kings Lodge, Bandhavgarh has 10 cottage rooms and 8 stilt cottage rooms with en-suite modern bathrooms. It is spread across a natural forest offering great ambience and solitude. It is strategically located to access all gates of the park swiftly yet far enough to ensure a great wilderness and a discerning experience.

Jeep Safari

Bandhavgarh jungle safaris in 4 x 4 open Suzuki jeeps with front facing elevated seats. Morning safari is usually from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the evening safari is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., The Park permits entry only after sunrise and exit before sunset, so the timing tends to change with the season. In peak winters safaris start as late at 7:00 a.m. and in summers as early as 5:00 a.m.

Foot Trails
Walking tours accompanied by naturalists to explore and soak in the wilderness. Walking is encouraged in the periphery of the park with trained guides. Enjoy and learn about Bandhavgarh’s rich flora and fauna and be surprised and delighted by its rich biodiversity. Being on foot brings about the best connection with nature.

Cycling Trails
Enjoy the countryside at your own pace accompanied by expert guides. Cycling trails in the buffer zone or a leisurely tour around the area.

Village Visits
Explore the Local Community - Hamlets and villages around the Tiger Reserve is a true reflection of “life in the country”. Learn about their rich tradition, culture and the indigenous tribes of the region. Interact with the people living here, break bread and get involved in one of our volunteer programs for the community.

Bandhavgarh is located in the heart of Central India and the road journey towards the end is through beautiful forests, jungle villages and stunning landscapes. It is well connected with Kanha & Panna National Park and allows easy access from major towns like Jabalpur, Satna, Khajuraho and Rewa.

By Air
There are daily flights to Khajuraho from Delhi by Jet Airways and Indian Airlines and from Khajuraho it is a 5-6 hour road journey. There are also daily flights to Jabalpur from Delhi and Mumbai by Spice Jet and Indian Airlines, from Jabalpur it is a 4 hour drive. Ground transfers from the airport can be arranged by the Lodge.

By Train
Bandhavgarh is best connected by train - Umaria, Katni, Satna and Jabalpur are convenient rail head and many trains connect there from all parts of the country.
