L'Ma Lodge

Welcome to the guesthouse L'Ma Lodge in Skoura where you will have a unique experience staying in the heart of the most beautiful palm grove of Morocco. Palm of Skoura is ideally located at the crossroads of the Dades Valley (Merzouga desert) and the Draa Valley (Chigaga desert), but also near Ouarzazate and its treasures. This charming 7 room guesthouse is set in large gardens with fruit, olive and palm trees as well as a vegetable garden. The main house contains the public areas including the two lounges, restaurant with central fireplace and a terrace. The pool is designed to have both shady and sunny parts, and includes a submerged "beach" area for adults and children and a pétanque court for fun. The splendid restaurant serves Moroccan and Mediterranean seasonal cuisine.

Located at 100 m from the House, the Riad is away for even more calm and silence. From its roof terrace, on 360 °, there is the view on the palm grove of Skoura and its palm trees and, in the distance, on the Atlas and its snow-covered peaks in the winter. The Riad includes 4 rooms and 3 suites (3 rooms and 1 suite on the ground floor + 1 room and 2 suites on the first floor). All offer a view on the garden, palm trees, olive trees and fruit trees. With double bed or separate single beds (contact us). All the rooms are spacious, bright and comfortable and benefit from a living area with cupboards, a ventilated bathroom with walk-in shower and separate toilet as well as sound insulation and quality bedding for restful sleep.

In summer, ceiling fans allow you to sleep with the windows open (there are mosquito nets) and to enjoy the natural freshness of the vegetation. All also benefit from air conditioning. In winter, the central heating provides you with pleasant warmth. While the large windows, even closed, allow you to enjoy the light and the palm and olive trees surrounding the Riad.

Staying in Skoura means having the chance to discover one of the most beautiful palm groves in southern Morocco. Countless date palms and lush gardens of olive, almond and pomegranate trees cover this territory. In the middle of the palm grove, marvelous earthen fortresses still retain their former beauty. Each has its own history which recalls the way of life of the local community. The most famous is the Améridil kasbah built in the 17th century.
