Mseni Beach Lodge

Situated in the heart of Sodwana Bay, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will find Mseni Beach Lodge. A Mseni, you’ll be delighted with the friendly service and an excellent experience to complement our awesome ocean views. The comfortable modern cottages and lovely beach house are nestled among beautiful indigenous bush, which forms part of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park.

The cottages were planned, so as not to disturb the lush dune forest and most are tucked away among unspoiled surrounds. The pool area is ideally situated to make the most of our beautiful Zululand sunsets, while you relax on a pool lounger and enjoy the view.

An enchanting walkway leads down to one of the most breathtakingly beautiful and secluded beaches, on South Africa’s pristine coastline. Watching the sunrise here is an amazing start to your day. This is also a great spot for the keen angler who enjoys rock and surf fishing. Whale watching from our restaurant deck between Jun and Oct is a highlight and an added bonus to the great food and warm and friendly service you will experience with us.

While sipping cocktails and sundowners on the restaurant deck, you can look for the seasonal passage of whales or regular sightings of dolphins. You may often hear the sound of cheering, as there is great excitement when eating mouthwatering food in the company of good friends and having ocean neighbors passing by.

Rated amongst the top 10 scuba diving spots in the world, Sodwana’s pristine reefs offer warm, clean and colorful experiences, with huge species diversity. We are privileged to have the most southerly coral reefs in Africa, thanks to the warm water brought from the tropics by the Agulhas current.
