Solitude Lembeh Resort
Solitude Lembeh Resort is an upscale boutique lifestyle dive resort. It has been thoughtfully redesigned with complete facilities and services for divers who are looking for a touch of luxury. Set in vibrant tropical gardens perched right above the water’s edge, Solitude Lembeh directly overlooks the sea and faces Pulau Lembeh, which lies just across the Strait. The resort is designed to ensure guests enjoy the intimate exclusivity and privacy of the natural landscape. The compact layout of the resort and its facilities specifically cater to divers and serious photographers. There's a beachfront infinity-edge swimming pool, a large camera room with individual workstations, a beachfront dive center with hyper-filtration filling system and a restaurant area with a magnificent view of the Lembeh Straits.
The dining experience is one of the most crucial aspects of any vacation. Indonesian cuisine, adored by many internationally due to its aromatic spices and herbs. Lembeh provides perfect climates for growing our own spices, such as ginger, turmeric, lemongrass and more. For those who enjoy more of a ‘kick’ to their dishes, we have available a variety of homemade sambals to add as a condiment to your meals.
Solitude Lembeh Resort welcomes guests with twenty-four spacious villas and rooms, all designed with a traditional Minahasan accent. Choose between our three categories that will suit any traveller’s needs, such as our Sea-View Suite features a cantilever deck over the shoreline offering the perfect spot to relax on a lounge chair with views over the strait. Or opt for the more tropical Garden-View Villa on the outskirts of the resort, allowing one to enjoy the intimate exclusivity of the surrounding nature and our carefully maintained garden. The Deluxe Rooms which are all part of the same building, provide beautiful views of the surrounding area, with two specially designed to cater to wheelchair guests.
The guestrooms are elegantly furnished with handmade furniture including en-suite facilities with complimentary amenities pack, bathrobes, slippers, flat-screen LCD TV, tea/coffee making facilities, fan, air-conditioning, hairdryer, Wi-Fi and refrigerator/mini-bar.
Deluxe Rooms
With 14 units available in the resort in three different clusters, each cluster having its unique character, from the private-exclusive garden setting to the colonial-style building to modern-contemporary.
Gardenview Villas
A cluster of 8 villas set in a lush garden setting. High timber ceilings make this room an airy, comfortable space. From your room, you can walk out onto your private verandah set in our vibrant garden with direct or indirect views of the sea.
Seaview Villas
Perched on the water's edge, these 2 villas provide a gorgeous, uninterrupted view of Lembeh Strait. Designed into the villa is a cantilever deck with lounge chairs, offering the perfect spot to rest and relax in solitude.
Diving!
The diving in Lembeh straits is usually referred to as muck or critter diving. This is a unique experience, driven by the desire to find those unique and strange beasties that are so common in this part of Indonesia. Enter a world underwater filled with mimic octopus, flamboyant cuttlefish, every kind of frogfish and pygmy sea horses... to name but a few of the special sightings. What a lot of people don't realize is that there are also several coral sites, where you can get some stunning reef scenes.
Lembeh is famous for being the "Macro Diving Capital of the World" as near enough anything weird, wonderful and smaller than a shoe can be found here. When visiting Lembeh one can hope see a plethora of fascinating creatures the likes of which you may have never seen! We guarantee our highly trained Spotters/Dive Guides will do their utmost to find the creatures you desire to see the most.
Lembeh further boasts a collection of stunning reefs, bustling with life and color should one desire a break from the critter searching. There is such diversity in the array of dive sites on offer that one can never grow tired!
Dive Center/Facilities:
We have both specially dedicated cylinders for NITROX and Air (in 15l and 11l) that cater to both DIN and A-Clamp (yoke) regulators.
We offer the full range of Mares equipment to rent as well as dive computers. Please let us know prior to arrival if there is any equipment you will be needing. From our private jetty you have the option to dive straight from there; or take one of our two boats to venture to other dive sites in mere minutes.
Camera Room:
We have a purpose built Camera Room for storage and charging of all necessary equipment during your stay.
The sockets are Universal and are 220V 50Hz rated, additionally we have an Uninterruptible Power Supply through the Camera Room.
Dive Courses:
We offer the full range of PADI courses from Discover Scuba Diving up to Divemaster! Additionally we offer PADI Specialities such as Enriched Air Nitrox. For more information on any courses please contact us via e-mail.
The bulk of the dive sites within the channel are varying muck dive locations. Whereas if you venture North and around to the East side of Lembeh Island you'll find the stunning reefs. Generally these trips are scheduled for full day trips - If you'd be interested in organizing such a trip during your stay please let us know in advance!
