Turneffe Island Resort

Turneffe Island Resort is an intimate, 14-acre private island resort located out on Turneffe Atoll, just 30 miles off the coast of Belize. This 5-star resort offers an exclusive all-inclusive experience for avid divers, anglers and adventurers. Situated on the marine life rich Caye Bokel, Turneffe Resortis part of the 200 mile Belizean coral reef, the longest reef system in the western hemisphere. Since acquiring the island in 2001, Turneffe is proud to offer guests a unique “Hemingway feel” vacation. Ecologically and environmentally friendly, the resort utilizes solar power along with a water purification system setting a high standard in the Caribbean.

The resort offers exclusive resort packages in 22 serene and private guestrooms. All the villas have air-conditioning, plush seating areas, panoramic ocean views and beautiful mahogany and teak floors. The rooms boast a private bathroom with all the amenities you’d expect from a 5-star experience. Your package includes airport and boat transfers, beachfront accommodations, complimentary kayaking and sailing with all-inclusive Caribbean meals and hors d’oeuvres served throughout the day.

Turneffe Island Resort is renowned for its location and natural scenery above and below the water.  Find your own patch of white sandy beach to relax and read a book. There’s also a fresh water pool to plunge into. With more than 70 dive sites less than a mile away from the island, divers and snorkelers will be amazed at the beautiful array of marine life. Grab a kayak to explore the lagoons surrounding the island. Turneffe is an excellent jumping off point for the world famous Blue Hole, and the Elbow.

Deluxe guestrooms are the standard lodging (270 sq ft) with any package you book. Welcoming you when you step off the boat, they are steps from the dive and tackle shops, so you can walk the white sand path to your next adventure in a matter of seconds every morning after breakfast. Each has 2 twin or king size beds, a/c, fan and mini-bar.

SUPERIOR ROOMS (4) - 1-2 guests
Perched atop four of the Deluxe Guestrooms, the Superior Guestrooms take you to a heightened level of luxury with views through the palm trees to the Caribbean Sea.

PRIVATE VILLAS (10) - 1-2 guests

Stroll down the beach to the privacy of our villas, where you’ll be undisturbed by the day-to-day happenings of divers and anglers coming and going. These villas come with king or queen size canopied beds. There’s also a Honeymoon Villa offering more privacy.

PRESIDENTIAL VILLA - 4 Guests

With two bedrooms, a shared living room and infinity pool, the Presidential Villa offers the most accommodation and privacy for larger parties – plus an exclusive helicopter transfer to the island.

Swim with schools of fish, gargantuan turtles and rays with two guided snorkeling excursions every day – all within minutes of your guestroom by boat. Spend your days where shades of sapphire and turquoise collide in the Caribbean Sea’s shallows.

The Spa
With two resident massage therapists, you can indulge in a daily massage, sink your heels into a pedicure or relieve yourself of the sun with a locally-sourced seaweed wrap. Overlook the Caribbean Sea, listen to the waves and the tinkering of steel drums, and escape to the spa.

Wherever you’re traveling from, Belize City is the gateway to your island escape. The majority of guests arrive via Belize City’s Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) via a 2.5-hour direct flight from the Houston International Airport (IAH) or William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) in Houston, Texas.

A representative be waiting to greet you outside the airport with a personalized sign and drive you to the marina. Your bags will be stowed in the boat until we cast off at 3:00 pm (every Wednesday and Saturday). The boat takes approximately 1-1/2 hours to the island.

We can coordinate helicopter transfers for guests seeking a heightened mode of transport. With three routes to choose from, the helicopter is an efficient transfer and site-seeing tour of the Belize Barrier Reef, all in one.
