The FloatHouse River Kwai Resort is a fancy river hideaway rarely found in very few places in the world. The only way to reach the resort is by boat as it actually floats on a flowing river surrounded by thick green jungle. Each luxurious and spacious floating villa is totally private and rich in custom tailored-made teakwood furniture with thatched roofing. The design is delightfully impressive with exotic decorations including natural materials and ropes. LONG TAILED BOAT TRIPS

Enjoy a breath-taking ride on a traditional long-tailed boat. It is a main approach that local people commute along this river. Riding on the boat along the historical River Kwai Noi brings you the utmost relaxation. You will have the best opportunity to witness the stunning fertile nature along the Kwai River. In fact, all our guests will be brought to our floating hotel by boat from our private Phutakien Pier (Resotel pier). It will be a short 11-minute ride and it is the only mean to reach our floatel. Lifejackets are available on board.

CANOE & KAYAK

Canoe is also one of our guest’s most favorite adventures on River Kwai. You will be paddling downstream and enjoy lush tropical forest on both sides. If you want to challenge yourself, you may try paddling upstream against the current! It gives you a good exercise and loads of fun. Our boats feature a flat bottom making it more stable. Therefore, it is very safe and worry-free for kids.

LAWA CAVE

Explore the Kanchanaburi’s largest and most famous cave located in Saiyok National Park. It has not been fully explored yet due to its gigantic size under the earth. The cave is beautifully designed by nature with stalactites and stalagmites in many unique formations. The Lawa Cave consists of chambers inside. Each chamber has its own stunning are stalactites and stalagmites formations. Also you will witness Kitti bat, the world’s smallest bat, living in the cave. The FloatHouse River Kwai is just located by this remarkable cave.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

Our bike trails are routed around the resort land to the Lawa Cave. It is a unique adventure location while at the same time preserving the plantation’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. Guests can bike through tropical orchards and palm garden.

SUP BOARD

SUP Board (Stand Up Paddle Board) is a new breed of water activity becoming extremely popular worldwide. Originated from Hawaii, SUP is a water sport that will make your day more fun and even healthy. At our River Kwai resorts in Kanchanaburi, we offer SUP board to our hotel guests to fulfil their enjoyable day.

BAMBOO RAFTING

If you want to experience something more local, bamboo rafting could be your perfect choice. Our raft is made by Mon people with local materials. Rafting was a way local people living along the river use to. When you take the bamboo rafting, we designate a person to steer the raft for you. You can just sit back and enjoy the wonderful nature. The rafting takes approximately 45 mins. 

MON VILLAGE

Visit original Mon Village to witness the way of living of Mon people. Mon is an ethnic minority whose origin is in Myanmar, Here they live peacefully and their tradition has been continually practiced. Mon temple is reserved for religious or spiritual activIty was like a breath of fresh air to see how this village is run. The villagers all help each other and everything is built and made from local materials, mostly bamboo. The village school which we visited and noticed children keenly attentive in their open air classroom. The atmosphere was relaxed with bowls of food on the desks and included a sleeping black cat! We also met an elephant taking a stroll with presumably tourists aboard. The temple structure is grand and unique.

TREETOP ADVENTURE PARK

Treetop Adventure offers zipline adventure. On beautiful trees and with breathtaking views, you will experience new sensations never felt before. From one platform to another…from tree to tree… balance yourself through an assortment of games such as rope bridges, tarzan swings, flying skateboards, tight rope walk, and giant zip lines. No matter how old you are, you will enjoy hours of fun and excitement! Screams of excitement from high in the forest at Tree Top Adventure Park as people from all ages experience the adventures on offer. Like Tarzan deep in the jungle they can slide down flying foxes, move from tree to tree on suspension bridges and jump from liana up to 25m above the ground. These eco-friendly adventure activities are great for the body and mind, and gentle on the environment.

HELLFIRE WALKING TRAIL

This is a part of the Death Railway constructed during the Second World War using POW labor to cut through the mountain. Along a 4-kilometer walking trail made by the Allied prisoners, today visitors can envision the difficulties faced in constructing the Death Railway using simple tools. Take a closer look at this historical Hellfire Pass, walk along remaining railroad tracks and even walk into the cutting!
