Located on Santa Cruz Island, Aventura Lodge is right at the water’s edge and surrounded by wildlife. While enjoying your breakfast on the deck, you can expect to see sea lions, marine iguanas, herons, sally light foot crabs and more. Aventura Lodge was built in 1995 with a unique architectural design which blends with the mangrove forest and seafront. Its location allows you to observe the mangrove ecosystem in action as well as the best view of Puerto Ayora Bay. The standard, superior and suite guest rooms are divided in two areas, seaside or inside the mangrove.

Standard rooms have mangrove views and are furnished with king size beds, full and/or twins, cable TV, air conditioning, individual safe deposit boxes, CD player and alarm clock. Private bathrooms come with hair dryer, mirror, shower with temperature control, biodegradable hair and body products and cotton towels. Electric outlets are 110v. There are three superior rooms with ocean view. One of them has a  private balcony on the upper level while the others located on the ground level. The suites offer scenic views to the ocean and to the bay. Some of them have a private balcony and are furnished with European queen bed, full and/or twins bed configurations.

The seaside restaurant offers both your choice of Japanese or Galapagos fusion cuisine, plus there’s a separate bar and café.

You can explore Santa Cruz and Isabela islands on foot, by kayak and snorkeling. Begin your adventure on Santa Cruz Island, where you can observe the symbiosis between lava, endemic plants and animals. Continue your adventure to Isabela, the iconic seahorse-shaped island. Observe the endemic and native species of Galapagos wildlife. You will access these sites by snorkeling, hiking, and kayaking. You may walk among giant Galapagos tortoises and visit Los Gemelos (a pair of collapsed lava tunnels), plus the Charles Darwin Research Station. The Galapagos is full of marine life. The lodge’s PADI dive center will take you to the best dive sites in this region. Red Mangrove has dive sites all over Galapagos for every skill level. The Galapagos has spectacular dive sites in and around Santa Cruz, Isabela, Floreana, and San Cristobal, with 181 islands and islets there are breathtaking dives all over the inner islands. You’ll see the Hammerheads, Galapagos Sharks, Horned Sharks, myriads of colorful tropical fish species, Sea Lions, Penguins, Turtles and much more.
