Splash Inn Dive Resort realizes how fortunate they are to call Roatan our home: hundreds of thousands of visitors come every year to experience this island paradise.  While it is our job to ensure that the island's visitors leave with great memories, we also strive to recognize the needs of our local community, many who have lived here for generations.

We are very proud to be involved with the following organizations that have selflessly worked to provide resources, homes, and opportunities for local residents all over the island.  If you are planning a trip to Roatan and would like to volunteer your time or efforts to helping those in need on the island, please consider reaching out to one of the following groups.

Sandy Bay Lighthouse Ministries
Sandy By Lighthouse Ministries is non-profit, non-denominational, Christian organization that exits to address the needs of the underprivileged people of Roatan by providing a loving, safe shelter for at-risk children; a quality bi-lingual Christian education to prepare children for a secure future; and to facilitate short-term, life-changing ministry opportunities for small groups.

Dwellings is a charity that is committed to building homes and changing lives by providing shelter and hope for recipient families as well as a life changing experience for those involved in the building process.

Educatodos is an organization in Honduras dedicated to improving the national education standards through grassroots services.  The group provides free and accessible education to people of all ages who may otherwise not have access to it and hopes to improve the community standard by encouraging people in the area to pursue higher levels of education.

The Colonial Stairs
Scott Fried is an international AIDS educator and has spent much time volunteering in Honduras and Roatan.  As a side project, he has decided to dedicate time and effort to helping build a set of stairs in the Colonial area of Roatan, stabilizing the ground there and providing safe access to the many families who live at the top of the hill.
